Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith is based on the Holy Scriptures,
the Nicene Creed, and additional deeply held religious beliefs.

The Nicene Creed was originally adopted at the First Council of Nicaea in AD 325, and its current form is the result of its expansion at the First Council of Constantinople in
AD 381. lt has been the most universally-accepted Creed throughout Christian history, and we are happy to join with Christians around the world and throughout the ages in affirming it as a valid articulation of the faith.

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen

“WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD,
THE FATHER, THE ALMIGHTY,
MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH,
OF ALL THAT IS, SEEN AND UNSEEN.”

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of the Being with the Father.
Through him all things are made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven and
is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen

The Authority of God’s Word

We believe in the authority of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as God’s word

Parents are the Primary Educators

We believe that parents are the God-ordained, primary instructors of their children (Deuteronomy 6:1-9). “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” -Deuteronomy 6:6-7

God Designed Learning

We believe in a God-designed progression of human learning (John 3:10- 12, Acts 17:22-28 and 1 Corinthians 13:9-12).

Christian Influence

We believe in the ministry of all Christians to influence the world around them in accordance with the honor and for the glory of Jesus Christ (Jeramiah 29:4-9, Matthew 5:13-16 and 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
